Construction Coordinator/Administrator opportunity with a construction company based out of Fairfield, CA. The successful candidate can be based anywhere from Bakersfield to Oregon border and be willing to travel during the week. The Construction Coordinator/Administrator will accompany the crews on their work through the state. Responsibilities: The person will be responsible to support the General foreman in

- Compilation of paperwork prior to work (Packages)

- Compilation of paperwork after work (Packages)

- Support General foreman planning efforts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

- Complete paperwork after planning process (CWC’s)

- Coordination point for interface with local Client Field Engineers for material acquisition from the various yards.

- Coordination in Apple Application data integrity. (QC check of photos and usage) - Reporting on completion status of locations.

- Support General foreman and team on yard acquisition.

- Support project team on paperwork completion, DOT, Timesheet, expense reports if any.

- 3rd Party invoice retrieval for billing.

- Misc team coordination, equipment repairs, one off material purchases, running paperwork

Requirements:

BS in engineering, construction management or equivalent work experience.

4-6 years experience in construction site paperwork preparation, monitoring, follow-up.

Ability to travel around California from Bakersfield to Oregon border. (3-4 days of overnight).

Company vehicle for the travel will be made available and expenses for overnight stays are covered by the company.

Construction Estimators prepare project estimates for projects ranging across all lines of business. They should be experienced in estimating utilities (electrical, piping) that go underground in trenches as part of the construction process

 

Job Responsibilities

•Coordinate total estimating effort relevant to a particular bid/project as assigned

•Check bid source files to ensure latest information available prior to bid day

•Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate

•Generate RFI’s necessary to establish competitive baseline

•Review project bid documents

Mechanical Rotating Equipment Engineer

Roberts Companies has an immediate position for a Rotating Equipment/Reliability Engineer for a long term contract at a bay area refinery. 

LOCAL CANDIDATES DESIRED

Job duties/Responsibilities include:

 
Supports plant maintenance by doing mechanical engineering work to improve plant performance, improve plant reliability, improve plant safety and reduce operating expenses.
Evaluates condition of existing equipment and recommends repairs, replacements, upgrades or operating limits to ensure safe plant operations and compliance with industry codes and government regulations. 
 
Does the associated engineering necessary to execute such work.
Develops equipment specifications for the purchase and as necessary the repair of equipment. 
Prepares mechanical specifications from process specifications. 
Works directly with onsite personnel and outside companies to insure compliance with specifications or resolution of problems involved with fabrication or repair of equipment.
Prepares management of change documentation for engineered mechanical changes. 
Consults and works with other departments on mechanical engineering issues and equipment and piping design detail reviews.
Provides estimates and preliminary design work to prepare for capital expenditures.
 
Job Requirements:
 
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required.
Minimum eight years mechanical engineering experience required.
Minimum three years experience working in a petroleum plant or petrochemical plant required.
Preferred experience in rotating equipment design, alteration, and repair.
 
Working knowledge of the following industry standards and codes:
 
API 610 Centrifugal pumps
API 682 sealing systems
ASME/API 579 Fitness for service

Key result areas and responsibilities:
 
1. Analyzes condition monitoring data in order to determine equipment performance trends. Troubleshoots equipment problems. Conducts root cause analysis as basis for determining targeted corrective actions to reduce/eliminate chronically underperforming or failure-prone equipment. Identifies value-added opportunities to close performance gaps and improve mean time between repairs (MTBR). Develops repair plans.  Executes change management process for solution implementation. (25%)

2. Participates in reliability or equipment-related incident investigations. Ensures refinery compliance with Process Safety Management Mechanical Integrity for refinery rotating equipment. (15%)

3. Performs cost/benefits analysis for technical solutions. (15%)
4. Ensures lessons learned, best practices, reliability action items are implemented. (20%)

5. Provides quality assurance, technical support, and consistent application of standards / procedures to Maintenance, Operations and Engineering for new and existing rotating equipment installations.  Conducts technical reviews in expense and capital projects to ensure equipment design meets reliability standards. (15%)
