Pleasanton based company is looking for Service technicans with experience in fire detection and fire suppression systems. AA in Electronics or equivalent work experience is required. Primary responsiblity is to perform service inspections, trouble-shoot and repair fire detection and suppression systems. Maintain truck inventory, and ensure company owned test equipment is in working order. Return equipment in need of repair and calibration. There are currently 3 positions available. Position Summary: Produces electrical designs for projects on the Capital Plan to improve the safety, operations, maintenance, and profitability of the Refinery within department standards and environmental regulations. Responsibilities: 1. Design, develops and evaluates electrical systems and tests and evaluates their performance. Leads engineering project groups in conducting engineering designs and construction projects. Defines projects scopes. 2. Conducts detailed studies and economic evaluations of the refinery electrical system to improve reliability and performance. 3. Consults with outside vendors and industry groups to bring appropriate technological innovation to refinery applications. 4. Participates as needed in Management of Change (MOC) procedures and serves as MOC steward for new projects as assigned. Participates in Process Hazard Analyses. 5. Develops engineering standards and practices for electrical systems. 6. During detailed design, procurement and construction phase of a project, works with Project Engineers to answer electrical questions, assists in problem solving and ensures project requirements are met. 7. Provides technical advice and expertise to organization as appropriate. Requirements: • Requires a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering. • Requires ten (5-10)+ years experience gained by working on engineering projects; or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
